Welcome!
The North Grenville Photography Club was established in April 2009 for photography enthusiasts in and around North Grenville, Ontario, Canada. We have members from Ottawa (North Gower), Kemptville, Oxford Mills, and so on.
Official meetings occur once a month, where members are invited to bring their photos for critique. Various workshops, tutorials, contests, and outings are organized throughout the year. All experience levels from beginner to professional are welcome.
We are currently listed by Outdoor Photography Canada magazine.

Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk
Great news! Our club is hosting the first Photowalk to happen in Kemptville. The walk is a big Scott Kelby thing and there are opportunities to win prizes! Check out the event here.

Temporary Issue With Images and Files - Fixed
As you may have noticed, there is a temporary issue with the images in the contest results, and the membership form is not downloadable. We are working to resolve this problem, but if you need access to any of these files, please don't hesitate to contact us.
The problem has been fixed. Looks like it was an issue with the web server, not our site.
Free Film
From Peter Green: I have a box of 5 X 24 exposures Kodak Ultramax asa 400 film. It is 35mm and is for prints. This is free to the first caller. (Please use the contact form to get Peter's phone number.)
Adobe Photoshop Course
St Lawrence College is offering a course on Adobe Photoshop Elements on April 21 & 22 in Iroquois. The classes are from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and cost $20.00. The course number is ESEC 281. You can register on line.
Updates Are Coming
There will be a bunch of updates to the site coming soon. I need to finish off some term projects before I can focus on them. I will be adding everything mentioned about the program in the last meeting as well as the contest results. These will be posted by December 20 at the latest, and likely before. Bayfield Manor Portraits
To all that participated at the Bayfield Manor shoot:
Please have converted and 5x7 cropped image of all your best shots to Wendy Stevenson by
Wednesday, November 25th.
Try and keep in mind the following when editing:
1. try and keep faces white during in conversion
2. always remember for printing that a little brighter is better as prints are NOT back lit like your computer
3. only send your BEST shots
4. and only send 5x7 cropped versions to make the contact sheet with
5. keep your original edited version in case someone wants to order an 8x10 whereas you'll have to send me that format.
Site Updates: Events and Membership
The Events page has changed a bit, with a description of field trips and a link to past events added. Also, the title of each event is now a link, so you can direct people to a specific event page if desired.
Also, the About Us page has been removed. It contained the tentative program for the club this year, but it changes so much that having is mostly causes confusion. Instead, we now have a Membership page, where you can download a form that you can bring to the next meeting (along with member dues) with you.
October and November Meeting Topics
Just a note that we will be discussing nature photography during the November meeting. Plans for any fall photography excursions will be posted on the events page if and when they are available. The topic for the October meeting is currently being discussed. The information on the events page will be kept up to date as much as possible, so refer back often.
August Meeting and Summer Photo Contest
Just a reminder that the next club meeting is Wednesday August 5 at 6:45pm. Please keep an eye on the Events page to stay up to date on meeting times and other events.
Also, the summer photo contest will be officially announced at tomorrow's meeting. It would be best to wait until the official announcement before trying to submit your photos so that our new system (outlined in the recipes section) is up and ready to go.
